Driver Recruiter (Sales)

Job Summary:
Recruit qualified drivers who meet or exceed Duncan Trucking, Ltd hiring criteria in order to maintain maximum staffing levels. Develop potential driver leads using cold calling, computer databases, social media, and other internet recruiting resources.

Job Duties:

Develop potential driver leads by fielding calls and following up on voicemails and other communication from prospective drivers. Present qualified drivers with job related information and the benefits of working for Duncan Trucking Ltd. in an optimistic (yet truthful) manner. Assists qualified drivers with completing the application then reviews submitted applications for completeness. Ensures all necessary documentation is sent to potential drivers in a timely manner to expedite the onboarding process. Work towards goal of increased truck occupancy. 50% open trucks at any given time.
Review applications, give preliminary approvals and ensures background investigations are conducted expeditiously and in compliance with company standards and Department of Transportation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Eliminate applicants that do not currently meet qualifications, but calendar as potential future prospects.
Places and updates advertising for driving position on various career sites (such as Indeed, Craigslist, LinkedIn, etc.). Maintains a tracking database to monitor effectiveness of ads and hiring. Participates off-site recruiting efforts by traveling to job fair, industry trade shows, and truck stops to recruit potential drivers, as needed.
Communicates referral program to current drivers during orientation.
Assists in performing DOT & Non-DOT urine and saliva specimens for pre-employment, random, post accident, and follow up drug and alcohol testing. Monitors and ensures driver compliance for FMCSA Clearinghouse
Set drivers up for on-site pre-employment drug test. Arranges travel and lodging for drivers attending orientation, if needed. Communicates with Driver Trainer to ensure truck availability. Follows up with drivers who fall to report to orientation.
Perform other Safety, administrative, and support duties, as required.


Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00PM
Pay: $50 - 55K

Requirements:

3+ years of Driver Recruitment experience.
Previous Sales or Customer Service experience is a plus.
Must possess intermediate computer skills to navigate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) applications, process data on recruiting databases (such as HireRight, Tenstreet, Driver Facts, etc.), and post ads on craigslist.
Must demonstrate the ability to multitask, set priorities and goals, and follow through on required tasks to completion.
