MF COBOL/CICS Developer - Evernorth Health Services (Finance)



Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MF COBOL/CICS Developer with a background in JAVA to support the development of an online claim adjudication system on an IBM Mainframe platform. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn and understand the various business products involved in claim adjudication and demonstrate strong technical expertise in CICS, JCL, and DB2.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively within an Agile team environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders.
  • Design and develop technical solutions that meet client and business needs.
  • Participate in all technical phases of assigned projects.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of product development, technical design, and implementation.
  • Partner with QA teams to address solution design gaps and related deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance applications and systems supporting business operations and mandated products.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • IBM Mainframe: 5+ years
    • JCL: 5+ years
    • CA7: 3+ years
    • Agile methodology: 1+ year.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • JAVA development experience
    • Previous experience in healthcare or PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) industry
    • Familiarity with Jira
    • Understanding of PBM or healthcare business processes

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 109,200 - 182,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
