Position Summary
Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Property Underwriter Traineeto join our dynamic underwriting team. This is a full-time, entry-level role designed for individuals seeking to launch a career in commercial property underwriting within the fast-paced E&S marketplace.
As a trainee, you'll participate in a comprehensive training program that combines classroom instruction, mentorship, and hands-on experience. Youll learn how to evaluate risk, price complex property exposures, and work with brokers to deliver tailored solutions in a constantly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in structured training to learn core underwriting principles, systems, and strategies.Assist senior underwriters in analyzing new and renewal submissions for commercial property accounts.Learn how to assess property exposures such as construction, protection, occupancy, and catastrophe modeling.Help gather underwriting information, calculate pricing, and prepare quote proposals.Develop an understanding of E&S market dynamics and appetite.Build relationships with wholesale brokers and internal stakeholders.Maintain accurate documentation within underwriting systems and files.Take initiative to complete assigned projects and training milestones.

What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree (preferred in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or related field).Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.Eagerness to learn, high attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse risks.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).Prior internship or exposure to commercial insurance or underwriting a plus, but not required.
