Now adding an OTR to Join our dynamic rehabilitation team! You'll evaluate and treat patients, collaborate with families and healthcare teams, and maintain comprehensive documentation. You'll also mentor, train staff, and support patient care excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations within 24 hours (or one business day) of physician referral.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans with physician approval.
  • Provide direct patient care in alignment with treatment plans.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and assist with Restorative Aide training.
  • Communicate patient progress and plans with the healthcare team.
  • Document evaluations, treatment notes, and progress per policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on maintenance programs for discharge preparation.
  • Facilitate durable medical equipment recommendations to promote patient independence.
  • Participate in care conferences, in-service training, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure department equipment is maintained and functional.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
  • Currently registered/licensed in Missouri. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
  • One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting, preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer skills such as inputting data into programs such as Point Click Care (PCC).
  • CPR certification upon hire, CPR certification must remain current during employment.
