Pre-Cut Lumber Technician (Transportation)
Efficiently and safely operate the TruCut saw to produce pre-cut lumber components based on provided specifications and framing plans.
Review and interpret cut sheets, shop drawings, and framing plans to ensure all cuts meet framer standards.
Inspect finished products to verify quality, accuracy, and proper labeling for job site delivery.
Assemble and organize cut lumber to align with framer preferences and job site workflow.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on the TruCut saw, reporting any issues promptly.
Minimize material waste and maximize lumber yield while communicating shortages or quality concerns.
Accurately record production output, maintenance activities, and any discrepancies or changes in cut plans.
Collaborate with designers, framers, and supervisors to clarify drawings and improve efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA policies.
Support other production areas as needed.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate has experience in woodworking or a related field, with lumberyard experience preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates must be skilled in using hand and power tools, machining, and assembly practices, and able to accurately read a tape measure. A solid understanding of safety procedures is required. We seek a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude. The role also requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
