Position Summary

This position will be responsible for working with the Wintrust Internal Audit Department to assist in the implementation and development of leading practices, strategy, methodology and the oversight of the quality of the work performed by the department. This role serves as a key member of the Audit Professional Practices Group (PPG), in support of the Audit Professional Practices Manager and the Audit Quality Manager related to audit operations, talent management, learning & development, internal reporting, and executing the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP). The position reports to the Audit Professional Practices Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Involvement with audit operations

  • Training

  • Oversight of the department's QAIP activities

  • Talent Management: assist in ideas and programs related to the department's talent strategy, including recruiting and retention.

  • SOX Program: assist in the completion and coordination of SOX testing, when necessary.

  • Representing Wintrust, along with manager, on roundtable and other peer events related to best practices in professional practice groups, when asked.

  • Contribute to the positive and team-oriented culture by maintaining cooperative relationships (assisting other project teams when necessary), facilitating the resolution of conflicts, sharing information, and accepting and providing feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3-5 years' experience in executing steps in the completion of audits, SOX testing and/or other like control functions.

  • Basic knowledge of developing risk-based audit methodologies, documenting risk assessments, annual planning, and experience with quality assurance practices.

  • Proven track record in showing a proactive mindset towards project management and coordination / integration efforts across multiple audit professionals.

  • Excellent communication – presentation and writing ability in communications, training, proposals, methodology, policies.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000.00 - $92,000.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
