Vascular Ultrasound Technologist - PRN ON CALL (Healthcare)

Vascular Ultrasound Technologist is a member of our healthcare team and in good standings with their professional required organizations. He/She assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of quality care as outlined.
Job Duties:
Operates all equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.Performs all ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental policies and evaluate for image quality.Select the transducers and adjust the frequencies to best demonstrate the area of interest with attention to age specific considerations.Evaluate the images for quality.Corroborates the patient's clinical history with the procedure and documents information on the necessary forms.Provides patient education for pre and post exams with attention to age specific considerations.Obtain appropriate consents.Correctly scans documents and properly charges exams.
Maintains recordsResponsible for other duties as assigned by Director of Radiology.Follows established protocols for decontaminating, pre-cleaning, high level disinfection and storage of ultrasound probes.
