IT Business System Analyst ll - Front-End Development and UI/UX Design (Finance)
The ideal candidate will be passionate about crafting visually compelling and highly functional user experiences across a variety of digital platforms. The IT Business System Analyst II will be responsible for building responsive websites and applications using modern front-end technologies including HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Vue, and Angular. A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and seamless integration with APIs is essential, as the analyst will work closely with backend developers to ensure cohesive functionality.
A key responsibility of this position is translating UI/UX wireframes and mockups into functional code while adhering to brand style guides and accessibility standards. The analyst must be capable of designing and refining visual elements to create intuitive interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. Work will be guided by user-centered design principles, ensuring usability and accessibility are incorporated throughout all front-end implementations.
Under general supervision, develops and implements information technology systems solutions to address business needs; and performs other related duties as required.
The IT Business Systems Analyst II is the journey level classification in the IT Business Systems Analyst series and reports to a supervisory or manager level position. Incumbents perform the full range of duties requiring a greater technical knowledge with little supervision or guidance.
The IT Business System Analyst II will also be accountable for testing and debugging interfaces to guarantee optimal performance and responsiveness across various devices and browsers. This includes verifying functionality and addressing any issues to ensure smooth and seamless user interactions.
This role requires close collaboration within agile or scrum teams, working alongside backend developers, product managers, and designers. The analyst will participate in design and code reviews and provide insights into UI/UX feasibility and enhancements. Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this team-oriented environment.
Tools Commonly Used:
This position follows a 9/80 hybrid schedule, offering a blend of remote and on-site work.

Build responsive websites and applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
Integrate APIs and work with backend developers to connect data and services.
2. UI Implementation
Translate UI/UX design wireframes or mockups into functional code.
Maintain consistency with brand style guides and accessibility standards.
Design, refine and implement visual elements.
3. UX Considerations
Understand user needs through research.
Apply principles of user-centered design, usability, and accessibility.
Use wireframes, prototypes, or user flows to guide development decisions.
4. Testing & Debugging
Test interfaces for functionality, performance, and responsiveness.
Debug front-end code and ensure seamless user interactions.
5. Collaboration
Work in agile or scrum teams, often collaborating with backend developers, and product managers.
Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility and improvements.Education: Completion of 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university, preferably with coursework in computer science, computer information systems, data processing, information management, or a related field to the assignment. (Additional qualifying IT job-related experience may substitute for the required education on the basis of 30 semester or 45 quarter units equaling one year of full-time experience).
Experience: Two years of front-end development experience.
