The PCR (Pharmacotherapeutics and Clinical Research) Department at the University of South Florida Taneja College Of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Psychiatry.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will include primarily teaching and clinical practice as well as oversight of the PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy resident. Research, and service to the college and the profession will be expected as time allows. Didactic teaching will be aligned with expertise. All clinical faculty must maintain a practice site suitable for experiential learning. The proposed practice setting will be at the new Behavioral Health Hospital that is being built by Tampa General Hospital. This faculty position will work closely with the USF Health Psychiatry team at the hospital and our medical and pharmacy residents will train alongside.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited academic program
  • Completion of two years of post-graduate training at an accredited institution with PGY2 in psychiatry.
  • Evidence of creative work, professional writing, or research in refereed and other professional journals.
  • For Associate Professor: Must have strong record of research/publication, teaching, service, and clinical experience.

PREFERRED:

  • Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program.
  • Prior experience as a clinical pharmacist at an inpatient psychiatry unit or hospital.
  • Clinical faculty with joint degrees (MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Clinical applicants with board certification are encouraged to apply.
