Director of Nursing (Healthcare)



Lead Clinical Excellence in a Culture of Innovation, Compassion, and Person-Centered Care

ClarkLindsey is seeking a collaborative and mission-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical operations of Meadowbrook Health Center, a 49-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and part of East Central Illinois only Life Plan Community. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional care while advancing a culture of dignity, quality, and continuous improvement.

As the DON, you will be a central part of our health services leadership team and oversee daily nursing functions, quality outcomes, staffing, regulatory compliance, and clinical innovation. You will work alongside an engaged team of clinical professionals, including an ADON, nurse manager, social services team, and interdisciplinary care partners. This role is instrumental in maintaining our strong regulatory track record. At ClarkLindsey, we do not accept Medicaid. What You'll Tackle:
Strengthening a culture of accountability, coaching, and shared leadership across all levels of nursingLeading continuous quality improvement / QAPI initiatives that drive measurable outcomesNavigating staffing challenges with creativity, persistence, and a strong recruitment visionSupporting new care delivery models and partnerships to elevate the resident experienceEnsuring readiness for surveys and advancing clinical standards beyond compliance

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois (or eligibility for licensure by endorsement)Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or higher preferred
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience in a long-term care or post-acute care setting strongly preferredAt least 1 year of nursing leadership, administrative, or management experienceDemonstrated success with regulatory compliance, staffing oversight, and team developmentFamiliarity with electronic health record systems (PointClick Care preferred) and Microsoft Office
Skills & Competencies:
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership abilitiesKnowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, and QAPI frameworksAbility to effectively lead through change, problem solve, build trust, and foster an inclusive, high-accountability cultureOn-call availability or appropriate delegation required

Benefits and Compensation
The pay range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000, salary, and is based on experience. Bonuses equaling up to 5% of salary annually are available based on performance.
