APRN/PA - Instr. I - Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery (Finance)

The Department of Dermatology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a Instructor to work as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and diagnose, monitor and treat patients with acute and chronic dermatologic illnesses. The APP will also provide medical triage on site, by telephone or home visits as needed, and perform other miscellaneous activities as deemed necessary by Director, such as developing perceptorships for Nurse Practitioners, CME activities, protocol development.Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.Experience as an RN or Nurse Practitioner in an office-based practice preferably in Dermatology. Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible.

This includes performing initial components of assessment of patient condition, including history and physical etc.
Participates in QA projects, educational sessions for clinical staff and attends scheduled organizational sessions.
