Prudential Individual Retirement Strategies' Internal Sales team is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Internal Sales to lead our annuities Internal Sales team. Reporting directly to the VP, Head of Internal and IMO Sales, this strategic leader will be responsible for driving internal sales performance, managing internal wholesaling operations, and enhancing the overall productivity and effectiveness of our annuities sales efforts. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams.

The Director, Inbound Sales and six Divisional Internal Sales Leaders will report to the Vice President, Internal Sales.

The current Employee Work Arrangement for this opening is Hybrid. The employee will work 3 days a week at a Prudential location in Newark, NJ, Dresher, PA, or Shelton, CT. Employee will be required to attend or go into the office for any mandatory onsite/offsite meetings/trainings. Employee Work Arrangement is the businesses decision and can be adjusted or changed for business reasons at any time.

What you can expect:

  • Lead, develop, and manage the internal wholesaler team to achieve and exceed sales goals for annuity products.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction to the Director, Inbound Sales, ensuring Inbound Sales' alignment with overall business and sales objectives.
  • Partner with external sales leadership to ensure seamless integration between internal and external wholesaling efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape and align long-term business strategy, translating high-level organizational goals into actionable strategic plans, and ensuring departmental objectives support broader business priorities.
  • Influence executive stakeholders through data-driven insights and business acumen.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics for Internal Sales, providing regular feedback, coaching, and development plans.
  • Make confident, well-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment, leading with clarity, and evaluating risks and trade-offs to drive optimal outcomes.
  • Design and implement sales strategies, campaigns, and training programs that drive advisor engagement and annuity sales.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of annuity products, market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments.
  • Inspire a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with marketing, compliance, product, training, business intelligence & analytics and technology teams to support the internal sales strategy and optimize tools and resources.
  • Lead Internal Sales recruiting, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced education and/or designations a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong emphasis on annuity sales and internal wholesaling.
  • Prior leadership experience required, with a track record of increasing role responsibilities
  • FINRA Series 6/7, 63/66 and Series 26/24 licenses required (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated coaching and development skills
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams in a dynamic, goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
