Job Title: Payroll Systems Administrator

Reports to: Payroll System Analyst

Location: United States (Remote). Interested applicants must reside in one of the following approved states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington

The Role

The Payroll Systems Administrator (PSA) is a strategic and technical expert responsible for evaluating and enhancing our global time and attendance operations. This role focuses on improving employee satisfaction and operational efficiency across all payroll regions, from time tracking to paid time off accruals. The PSA brings deep experience in business systems analysis, payroll operations, and the UKG suite (WFM, Pro).

As the technical lead for payroll software services, the PSA also serves as the integration administrator for data entering and leaving payroll systems. This role collaborates closely with Payroll Subject Matter Experts to ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and policy requirements.

Your Impact

  • System administrator for UKG Pro and UKG WFM payroll systems
  • Support system integrations to and from payroll systems
  • Provide end-user support and training
  • Update system structures including business structure, cross-reference tables, delegate profiles, and transaction assistant errors from Workday integrations
  • Maintain pay rules and accrual policies
  • Develop dataviews and custom reports
  • Maintain access profiles
  • Support scheduling including schedule groups, pattern and shift templates
  • Provide production support and end-user training
  • Manage firmware updates
  • Conduct annual updates including holiday calendars and PTO accrual audits
  • Support other payroll systems administration and projects as needed

Who You Are

Education and Certifications

  • College degree in Computer Science or a related IT field

Work Experience

  • 5 years of payroll systems experience required
  • 3 years of payroll support experience preferred
  • 3+ years as a Kronos Administrator or similar experience with time reporting systems
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation
  • Experience enforcing standards and governance within systems and processes
  • Experience with payroll processing systems such as UltiPro or WFM Pro
  • Experience with SaaS product administration
  • Global experience preferred

$105,000 - $115,000 - The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
