Engineering Hardware Manager (Finance)



Role Summary

The Hardware Engineering Manager at Precitech will oversee the design, development, and production of precision hardware solutions that align with the company's commitment to innovation in ultra-precision machining. This role involves leading a team of skilled engineers, ensuring project success, and driving technological advancements in hardware engineering.

What you'll be doing-

  • Lead and manage the hardware engineering team to design and develop advanced hardware solutions for ultra-precision machining.
  • Oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle, including concept, design, prototyping, and production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing, to deliver seamless product integration.
  • Ensure all projects meet quality, cost, and delivery timelines while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in design and production processes.
  • Provide mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and integrate them into hardware designs to maintain Precitech's market leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices and innovation in precision hardware solutions.

Who you'll be working with

  • You will work and collaborate with operations leadership across Ophthalmic Precision Solutions and the Ultra Precision Technology division.
  • You will collaborate and strategize with your peers on the leadership team at PRECITECH to create and execute a site vision, mission, 3-5 year strategy, and annual goals.
  • You will liaise with sales and customers as needed to ensure we are providing excellent customer support.

This is what you'll need to be successful in this role

  • Proven experience in hardware engineering, with a focus on precision manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong leadership skills, with prior experience managing teams or technical projects.
  • Expertise in hardware design, testing, and manufacturing processes with a focus on capital equipment
  • Familiarity with precision machining technologies and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with hardware design tools and related software.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications are a plus).
Who we are
  • PRECITECH designs and manufactures ultra precision machining solutions for freeform diamond turning, milling, and grinding which are used to produce optical lenses, mold inserts, mirrors, and precision mechanical components. Our diamond turning machines produce rotationally symmetric, asymmetric, freeform, and sculpted geometries with form tolerances in the sub-micron range and nanometer surface finishes.

Compensation

Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Minimum: $160,000

Salary Maximum: $190,000

Incentive: Yes
