Remediation Technician - Sacramento, CA (Finance)



The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech's Sacramento, CA office is currently seeking a Remediation Technician. This field-based role involves tasks such as field work planning and preparation, soil, water, and groundwater sampling, soil vapor sampling, remedial system operation and maintenance, data compilation and analysis, and subcontractor oversight. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Senior Technicians and Professionals on a variety of environmental remediation projects. This position is open to candidates local to the Sacramento, CA area who are eligible to work in the United States. This position will require a background check.

Your Role:

  • Perform routine O&M inspections and maintenance on groundwater remediation system equipment and treatment facilities.
  • Conduct environmental sampling activities (groundwater, soil, and vapor).
  • Oversight of remediation system vendors and contractors.
  • Perform non-routine O&M activities; troubleshoot system performance and mechanical/electrical components.
  • Observe, record and report O&M compliance/permit monitoring data.
  • Oversee remedial system installation, start up, and operation.
  • Field investigation, sampling, and data collection.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure personal safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma required. Technical and/or degree in Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in environmental and remediation projects.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER certification preferred; training provided.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, excellent technical abilities, and an ability to quickly learn new skills required.
  • Ability to travel locally and perform field work (position is 100% field based).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
  • A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.

Target salary range: $25.00 / hour to $27.00 / hour. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
