ONSITE EVENTS SUPERVISOR (Food Services)

Get to Know This Role
The Onsite Events Supervisor will lead the Event Staff at all on-site events and will be integral to the logistics, execution, and organization of the Onsite Events Team. The Supervisor will play a key role in delivering unique guest experiences through one-of-a-kind events on-site throughout our Chico facilities, including but not limited to The Big Room, The Hop Yard, The Estate Garden and more.

What You Will Do
  • Ensure all events are properly staffed to meet the full scope of the event's needs from setup through breakdown
  • Assist with the management of the events calendar to ensure all events are systematically scheduled and communicated
  • Develop, implement, and maintain all department and event SOPs
  • Coordinate details of private client events and internal support events (<100 pp); engage with guests to understand their needs and exceed their expectations
  • Monitor quality control on; facilitate tap rotations for special events; execute changeover of keg box with our beer delivery team
  • Communicate guest feedback and incidents/near-misses in our operations to improve for the future
  • Manage inventory of front of the house related small wares, glassware, dishware, silverware, linens, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, etc. to keep items well-stocked, in good condition, sanitary, organized, and event-ready
  • Supervise POS and credit card processing systems including data entry on the backend, creating efficiencies within the POS for better guest service, problem solving all POS and credit card processing unit issues
  • Maintain furniture and fixtures in the event spaces; submitting and following up with work orders as needed; keep all storage areas in clean, organized, safe and event-ready condition
  • Follow and enforce SNBC and State of California (or North Carolina) laws regarding alcoholic beverages
  • Ensure self and staff are equipped with SNBCo. history and product knowledge to effectively communicate with guests
  • Schedule and maintain records of employee training
  • Support the Taproom Front of House as a Supervisor, specifically to help with coverage on weekends and during vacation requests (NC ONLY)
     
  • This position requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, early mornings and holidays; scheduled shifts will vary based on events and business needs
  • As the Supervisor, you will be required to successfully complete Intro to Craft Beer, a company-provided training and become a TIPS On-Premise cardholder within the first 90 days of employment.

Please Apply if You Have
  • 3 years Experience working in restaurants and events using a digital POS system required and
  • 1 year Experience supervising restaurant and/or event staff required
  • Superior organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • A strong work ethic, self-initiative and a positive attitude are essential
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality
  • Ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated cash handling and accounting skills
  • A passion and desire to learn about craft beer
  • CA Food Handler's Card upon hire required
