Sheet Metal SolidWorks Detailer (Construction)
Summary/Objective
This position will collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Production/Operations, Engineering and any one of our four divisions/companies to help provide and develop cost effective estimating solutions to our current and potential customer base and to help foster development and the growth of our company and those of our customers.

Technical/Documentation
Demonstrate proficiency in Solid Works and Auto CAD
Prepare and generate basic working/shop drawings with accuracy and thoroughness
Assist in organization and generation of working production/shop drawings
Prepare complex plans, elevations, and details under guidance of supervisor
Prepare a "Take off" of materials included in the job scope of work, provide and develop estimates and develop scope of work for all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs, needed to prepare a complete price estimate.
Work directly with Customers, Sales/Sales manager and cross functional (departments) teams to understand the size and scope of various projects along with timelines, capabilities and applicable project deadlines.
Support lead engineer and ensure that the design intent and documents are followed through production
Set goals, prioritize, and plan work activities for self-management and use time efficiently
Basic knowledge of materials used in the steel manufacturing process is a plus
Listen and communicate effectively and professionally
Ask question about assignments when unclear
Order Production
Open to learning office custom software and follow office standards
Assist in generation of purchase orders based off of production/shop drawings
Ability to do material take-offs from shop/production drawings
Research material/parts needed for production
Other duties and responsibilities as required
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While this job is primarily an office environment the duties of the job spending some time on the shop floor in which
the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and machinery. The
noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully
perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Occasionally requirements can be
standing, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must frequently lift and or move approximately 10 pounds and
occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities that are required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime, Saturdays, as well as the possibility of altered shift hours due to varied work demands may be required at the request of your supervisor.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
SolidWorks Sheet Metal Certification or equivalent experience
Knowledge of and experience with SolidWorks 2016 or later
Preferred Education and Experience
2 4 years of relevant experience in detailing
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Fluent in English, must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. residency and at least 21 years of age
Must have reliable transportation
Must pass pre-employment background and drug and alcohol screen.
