Law Clerk (Finance)



JOB DESCRIPTION

Chubb House Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated law student to join our team as a part-time law clerk during the school year and full-time during the summer. Our firm specializes in representing insured defendants in various legal matters, including premises liability, construction accidents, motor vehicle incidents, products liability, and defamation cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft motions and legal documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to legal standards.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Assist in case management and contribute to the overall efficiency of the legal team.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills are essential.
  • Previous experience as a clerk or within a law firm is preferred.
  • Ability to commit to working 30+ hours a week.


The pay range for this internship is $18 to $26 per hour. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
