Project Engineer (Architecture)



As a Project Engineer you will perform & coordinate planning, development, and completion of projects ensuring client satisfaction. You work closely with a professional engineer or project team in understanding project needs and expectations. This role will have a focus on our municipal market and will include project planning, analysis, design, & inspection.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects, including attending city meetings.
  • Assists in reviewing and analyzing reports, maps, drawings, tests, aerial photographs and topographic data to determine existing utility functionality, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan for and design solutions to accomplish project needs.
  • Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, funding applications, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits and designs for projects.
  • Prepares design computations and quantity estimates. Uses CAD to prepare design computations.
  • Serves as onsite project representative or conducts periodic site visits to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents and plans.
  • Coordinates and works well with a design team.
  • Responsible for quality control.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Completion of Engineer in Training exam.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the civil engineering field.
  • If not a PE in the State of MN, will aspire to obtain license.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

For Minnesota residents: The pay range for this position is $60,0000-$93,225. The range displayed on this job posting reflects salaries for the position based in our Minnesota locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by specific work location and additional factors, including education, experience, credentials, and job-related skills. In addition, to base pay, certain positions at Moore Holding Company and subsidiaries are eligible for participation in our incentive compensation programs.
