Communications Coordinator (Creative Design)



We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to provide day-to-day support for Frontier Co-ops external and internal co-op communications efforts including managing content for media, industry, catalogs, in-store materials, packaging, marketing platforms, B2B communications, email newsletters, website content and direct customer communications. They will be involved in all facets of content planning, copywriting, design, production, editing and maintenance. All day to day direction and management will come from head of sustainability and communications.
This position requires excellent interpersonal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task. This role assists the head of sustainability and communications with all aspects of media relations, external and internal communications and cross-departmental coordination within Frontier Co-op.
This person will be highly motivated, a quick thinker and someone able to take direction easily and run with projects, while bringing ideas to the table in a constructive manner. This role will also have major responsibilities for developing and implementing Frontier Co-ops internal communications program, so experience with communication plan development and execution is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in development and implementation of Frontier Co-ops internal communications program and co-op social media channels, including significant writing, editing, and logistics support.Respond to and assist with media requests for corporate and product information, as well as other requests for information, including sustainability, food safety, and general fact checking.Craft marketing material for external appearances, recruiting materials, brochures, presentations, fact sheets, prep packets for KOL panels, press releases and content for sustainability report, corporate website, and corporate intranet page, and FAQ docs in coordination with internal stakeholders.Maintain corporate LinkedIn page, DGW intranet page and corporate website updated with stories, photography, press coverage, thought leadership pieces, and other owned and earned media.Work under direction of head of sustainability and communications, along with external firm to fulfill internal requests for PR support, including messaging on all topics including crisis management, guidance for public appearances and speeches, help responding to public entities on a wide variety of issues.Take on other communications-related projects as necessary, including special events, and organizing information and data collection, copywriting, and content development for annual sustainability report with head of sustainability and communications.Support on implementation of branded giving programs including platform preparation, management of previous applications, and communications and content development with head of sustainability and communications.Strives to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical.Works safely at all times, follows safety rules and policies and participates in scheduled training.Reports injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; proposes corrective action.

There are no supervisory duties with this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in sustainability and/or corporate social responsibility is a bonus, but not required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, communications, public relations or marketing from four-year college or university; and 2 to 3 years experience assisting with internal and external communication strategy development.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret such items as general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or simple governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions where a certain degree of tact and discretion is needed.

QUANTITATIVE SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Microsoft Office, Content Management Applications, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, SurveyMonkey Apply.Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects.
