Housing Advocacy Specialist (Personal Services)



The Housing Advocacy Specialist supports individuals and families experiencing housing instability through housing-focused case management, advocacy, and connection to community resources. This role emphasizes empathy, cultural humility, and a participant-centered approach. You'll engage with households in crisis through in-person meetings, phone calls, email, and mail-based communication.

You'll work to build trust, help participants navigate complex systems, and collaborate to reduce barriers to stable housing. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to equity and community well-being. You'll apply professional skills and personal dedication to this mission-driven work while ensuring compliance with program guidelines and standards. This full-time position (40 hours per week) is Monday-Friday and will be based in Faribault. Starting pay is $25.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Minimum bachelors degree with previous case management/service coordination experiencePreferred LSW and/or LADCAbility to maintain confidentiality and follow data privacy policies and procedures.Current, valid drivers license in good standing as defined by agency insurance company, unless explicitlyapproved otherwise by supervisor.Current, valid personal automobile insurance, unless explicitly approved otherwise by supervisor.Ability to pass required background study, as defined by position.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
