Position Summary

Skilled and reliable Young Shin Die Cutter Operator. The role requires hands-on experience with Young Shin for automatic flatbed die-cutting machines and a strong focus on quality, productivity, and safety.

Essential Function(s) Statement

• Set up, operate, and maintain Young Shin flatbed die-cutting equipment.
• Perform changeovers, make routine adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous production of jobs.
• Interpret job tickets, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate setup and output.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform Daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and troubleshooting and report mechanical issues to Management.
• Always maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate efforts as a part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers (in all departments) as needed to maximize production efficiencies.
• Follow established department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating Young Shin die-cutters (or similar large-format flatbed die-cutting machines).
• Understanding the technical aspects of various printing and cutting machinery is essential for this role. Experience operating offset printers, digital printers, and cutters is highly valuable.

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite

Additional Requirements

• Strong Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret job specs, Structural Drawings, layouts and adhere to all MGD quality standards.
• Familiarity with basic machine maintenance and safety protocols.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to repair dies by modifying creasing rules and cutting knives.
• Demonstrates ability to recognize common cutting defects (cracking, sharpness, heavy scores, line-up, tearing, flat scores, one-sided scores).
• Must be able to use pre-make ready table.
• Demonstrates ability to use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced production environment.
