Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close process.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
Analyze financial data and provide insight into variances and trends.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review and improve internal accounting processes and controls.
Assist with budgeting and job forecasting.
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
Mentor junior accounting staff if applicable.
