Adult Group & Outpatient Therapist Lead (Healthcare)

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. Founded in 1991, we offer an intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment program, psychological testing, and behavioral health and medication management services.

We are seeking to hire a Full-Time Adult Day Treatment Group & Outpatient Therapist Lead. This role will split time as a Group Therapist and an individual Outpatient Therapist. As an Adult Day Treatment Group Therapist Lead, you will be working with clients by offering an intensive psychotherapy group experience to help reduce the effects of mental illness and provide skills to empower clients to live in the community independently. Outside the Adult Day Treatment group hours, you will build and maintain a small caseload of clients seeking individual outpatient therapy services.

Job Duties Include:

Facilitating (and/or co-facilitating depending upon size) the Adult Day Treatment groups, including crisis management services as needed
Completing all necessary Progress Notes for each client attending Adult Day Treatment sessions under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional
Maintain accurate and organized electronic health records
Consulting with Adult Day Treatment Supervisor when situations are outside one's competency area
Attending clinical staff meetings
Consulting and/or updating outside providers regarding client's status or progress
Working in collaboration with other Adjunct Facilitators
Completion of referrals to other Nystrom & Associates programs and care coordination
Update MN Mental Health Access Website on a weekly basis
Additional tasks may be specified by the Adult Day Treatment Supervisor/Adult Day Treatment Program Director.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday General Day Time Hours

Group Schedule: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Afternoon hours will be working with individual clients
