Senior Community Engagement Consultant - Evernorth Care Group - Remote (Phoenix, AZ) (Finance)



Position Summary

The Senior Community Engagement Consultant is responsible for building and maintaining relationships between the organization and the community, focusing on promoting growth and business development. This role involves identifying the needs of strategic partners, developing, and implementing engagement programs to drive growth, and fostering partnerships to align the organization's goals with new patient acquisition priorities.

In this role, the Senior Community Engagement Consultant will become an expert in Evernorth Care Group's value-based model of care and differentiators and communicate this effectively to brokers, prospective patients, and key community stakeholders. This role will be a critical member of the Evernorth Care Group Growth Team, regularly exercising interpersonal skills and a high degree of autonomy.

This role will also be responsible for supporting the Growth Leader with all broker, community, and sales productivity and outcome reporting.

The position will be remote with expectation to attend growth, payor, and community events and to collaborate with clinical sites and other stakeholders in-person. Occasional weekend and after-hours work is expected.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Represents Evernorth Care Group as the Senior Community Engagement Specialist with key stakeholders at payor/broker partnership events, community-based events, regional health care center locations, businesses, partner clients, senior communities, health fairs, and regional community events.
  • Manages the regional design and execution of community events to inform prospective patients about their healthcare options.
  • Develop pipeline of prospective patients' multiple engagement activities such as not limited to host Evernorth Care Group health education seminars, presentations, and community partner events that showcase the Evernorth Care Group model of care and services to prospective new patients, community members, and sales partners.
  • Collaborate with assigned regional internal growth partners in accomplishing targets by networking and coordinating events with brokers, community partners, and payor teams.
  • Drive membership/new patient growth at our clinical sites through the development of strategic analysis and track metrics to inform the ROI of these efforts.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and health economic trends in order discuss and provide input to prospective partners and patients.
  • Develop grassroots outreach and engagement activities by canvassing in assigned Evernorth Care Group region.
  • Follow up on the new lead generation to ensure onboarding of new patients and provide tours of Evernorth Care Group Health Centers.
  • Perform appropriate business development activities as directed by Growth Leader.
  • Adheres to and maintains current understanding of compliance requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Serve as regional main point of contact for the Clinical and Operation teams when they have questions or need assistance with assisting patients with navigating partner's health care coverage, broker coordination, and community engagement.
  • Engage as directed by Growth Leader in educational interventions with brokers to support collaborative relationships with grassroots, business development, and clinical related activities with Evernorth Care Group.
  • Communicate Evernorth Care Group's policies, procedures, processes, and updates to new and existing partner brokers within region; identify and coordinate training to partner brokers.
  • Successfully coordinate, communicate, and resolve complaints and grievances involving patient and broker activity.
  • Assist Growth Leader to create and implement payor market plans to meet growth and market goals.
  • Communicate, network, and partner with local communities, businesses, and brokers on collaborative activities that mutually benefit the growth of Evernorth Care Group.
  • Provide weekly region reporting and analysis of results to Growth Leader and Executive Leadership. Engage and communicate effectively and frequently through various means to build relationships.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Provide exceptional, compassionate customer service.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience or a related field in community engagement, communications, business development, sales, marketing, or health care related fields.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for regular travel within the Greater Metropolitan Phoenix Area for use in everyday role functions. Mileage is reimbursed.
  • Fluency in Spanish, but not required, preferred to serve patients and communities we operate in (where necessary)
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations are highly valued.
  • High emotional intelligence, the ability to forge meaningful relationships, and can successfully navigate diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Analytical skills to support preparation of ROI and other metrics to validate success of outreach efforts.
  • Self-starting and maintaining a high sense of urgency and accountability in delivering measurable results in line with agreed upon timeframes.
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting to large groups.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of the primary care and health insurance competitive landscape in the Arizona market preferred, but not required.
  • Drive change with a history of successful planning, marketing, and executing events.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to proactively structure work and problem solve independently.
  • Highest degree of honesty, integrity, and fairness
  • Willing to work weekends and nights when needed for events.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
