Position Overview

Under general supervision and in accordance with established safety policies, you'll be an essential part of our dredging operations team. You'll work hands-on with our river equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently, while embracing a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Dredge sand from the river, supporting critical operations.

  • Assist with winter repairs and fixes to the dredge equipment.

  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and help keep everything running.

  • Grease, change oil, and perform preventative maintenance on machinery.

  • Operate cutting torches and stick welders with precision.

Your Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand safety labels, instructions, and signs.

  • Keeping attention to detail and strong communication skills.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Physical strength and stamina to walk, climb, bend, push, pull, twist, and lift to 100 lbs. (unassisted) and over 100 lbs. (with help).

  • Ability to climb stairs carrying up to 50 lbs.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Environment

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dirt, fumes, heat, and cold.
