Research Specialist, Expert Services (Finance)



Kroll's Expert Services practice provides economic damages, shareholder disputes, forensic accounting, valuation, and other financial and investigative services to attorneys and companies involved in litigation, among other forms of disputes and investigations. We're looking for a Research Specialist to join our team.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct efficient business, finance and legal research to support the professionals' work on client engagements
  • Filter, organize and report research results according to professionals' needs
  • Develop media-monitoring procedures around client engagements
  • Work proactively with all team members to understand the context of the client file and specific information needs
  • Provide market research and competitive intelligence to support client outreach
  • Offer training and consulting on research tools and resources to staff
  • Keep the print resource collection and online catalogue up-to-date - this includes pro-actively monitoring for new publications as well as loose-leaf filing
  • Liaising with Accounts Payable and Information Resources regarding research- and collection-related acquisitions and invoices
  • Maintain a SharePoint intranet and provide user-friendly enhancements in line with sound information architecture concepts
  • Provide data entry and knowledge management support in relation to client files
  • Miscellaneous other tasks as required by the Operations Manager

  • You have proficiency with Microsoft Office

The current salary range for this position is $60,000 to $90,000
