Advanced Field Service Engr (Finance)



As an Advanced Field Service Engineer, you will drive the development of on-site installation, servicing and repair processes of complex equipment and systems. You will provide technical presentations to an audience of customers, other industry peers and competitors. You will drive revision and correction of work instructions and customer-facing training guides used by field installation specialists. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development. You will lead cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will act as an escalation point for Field Service Specialists, Service Engineers, and others.As an Advanced Field Service Engineer here at Honeywell, you will provide advanced technical support in Industrial Automation, troubleshoot complex issues, ensure solution implementation, and drive customer satisfaction.YYOU MUST HAVE
  • 3+ years of experience with switching protocols, configuration, implementation, and reporting
  • Ability to work at heights and to ascend/descend towers in excess of 200ft
  • Ability to obtain required passport and or in country visas
  • Meet all site safety expectations to sometimes include random drug screenings and background checks
  • Willingness to travel globally 60-75% of the time

WE VALUE

  • Experience with linux or similar computing language
  • WAN, LAN, MAN, VLAN, VRF and APN
  • Experience with toolsets such as Nginx, PostgreSQL, NodeJS, C++, Qt, and GitHub
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Chef, and Ansible
  • Experience working with Cisco routers, switches, and IOS
  • Network routing protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, and BGP
  • Network services, QOS, and network hardware (i.e., switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) in all environments
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proactively analyze, troubleshoot, document, and resolve hardware, data communication systems, and circuit issues in a timely manner
  • Support secured remote access infrastructure to mobilized workers, in-house employees, and external business stakeholders
  • Independently manage the execution of minor projects focused on delivering complete system integration and commissioning, including the definition of deliverables and milestones, reporting the status of the projects, and coordination with internal business partners and external partners to deliver the projects on time and on budget
  • Ascend/descend stairs/ladders/towers, while at times being required to carry equipment weighing between 40 and 50 pounds, as well as work off a ladder or tower
  • Maintain hardware and specialized test equipment in the lab as well as at the field sites.
  • Work with junction boxes, umbilical's, and control panels
  • Work a flexible schedule to go on-site and conduct meetings with team-members and stakeholders in other regions is required
  • Review CAD drawings, network schematics, wiring diagrams, and the like
  • Work with hand tools such as crimps, calipers, drills, scopes, multimeters
  • Cut, strip, crimp, and wire with a high degree of accuracy
