Sr AI Manager (Finance)



Join a forward-thinking team driving enterprise-wide transformation through advanced analytics and AI. As Sr. AI Manager at Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions, you will shape and execute the strategic vision for AI initiatives, from ideation to deployment. You'll lead a team of AI scientists and engineers-directly or through matrixed structures-while cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. In close collaboration with business stakeholders, you'll define requirements and deliver AI-powered solutions that convert structured and unstructured data into actionable insights, enabling smarter decisions and solving high-impact business challenges.As a Senior AI Manager at Honeywell, you will provide strategic direction and guidance to multiple data science project groups, overseeing the execution of complex projects and driving impactful insights and innovation through advanced analytics.You must have
  • Six plus or more years of relevant experience in Data analytics, AI or related technical activities.
  • Experience in AI tools such as MS Azure, OpenAI, Vertex, AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, applied engineering AI frame works such as LangChain or equivalent.
  • Experience and ability combining the latest GenAI building blocks such as prompting techniques, agentic frameworks, RAG, data science, data engineering, and limited software development fundamentals.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or another related field.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and management skills including effectively leading cross functional teams. Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with high regard for quality and consistency of communication, and able to present concise plans and ideas to executive level.
  • Experience with large-scale data analytics and governance initiatives.
  • Understanding of different analytics trends like predictive models and AI/ML.
  • Technical experience in SQL, T/SQL, NoSQL programming, and database objects.
  • Experience in technical product or project/program management with a focus on driving adoption and business impact.
  • Demonstrated record of on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Critical thinking and understanding of business processes, technology, systems, and tools.
  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness; end user experience mindset, a self-starter able to work independently.

The annual base salary range for this position in Rosemont, Illinois is $170,000 - $212,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

  • You will be part of a team that is advancing the Honeywell strategy to use AI across all functions and business units.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the overall AI strategy and roadmap.
  • Help develop and execute the organization's AI strategy to maximize impact on revenue growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across functions and Corp teams to identify key business needs and deliver AI solutions to solve them.
  • Drive the creation of an outstanding user experience for delivering AI solutions.
  • Oversee the solution lifecycle to drive its adoption, effectiveness, and tangible monetary impact.
  • Oversee, mentor and develop AI engineering teams, ensuring the successful implementation of AI projects across the organization.
  • Utilize analytical and technical skills to translate and analyze business needs into requirements, leading the design and implementation of complex analytics and governance solutions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, data scientists and data groups to convert business goals into technical product specifications.
  • Define multigenerational product plans ensuring rapid value generation with a pathway to sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Lead and oversee the development and implementation of a portfolio of AI projects while considering changing user requirements, new capabilities, and technological changes.
  • Develop and drive AI education, communication and training programs for the organization to increase awareness, drive AI adoption and applying insights from AI products.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of AI initiatives.
  • Work in a highly matrixed organization to drive projects forward in collaboration with corporate teams and other organizations.
