Incontinence has a higher prevalence than diabetes and asthma, yet there is a significant opportunity to increase awareness and adoption of advanced therapies that provide longer-term solutions for these individuals. We are hiring a passionate, fast-paced, and strategic Sr. Group Market Development Manager to manage the healthcare professional (HCP) Market Development team within Pelvic Health. We are looking for a player coach that is passionate about understanding the healthcare professional needs, has ability to formulate strategies to increase adoption and penetration of advanced therapies, and provides strategic support to reimbursement, clinical, and sales teams.

The Sr. Group Market Development Manager will focus on increasing healthcare professional awareness, belief, and adoption, ultimately improving the quality of life for patients suffering from incontinence and related conditions globally. This role will create the market development strategy including engagement, clinical strategy, reimbursement, education and work with the respective cross functional team members to execute on the strategy. This role will lead a team of 3 individuals that are focused on HCP market development, and conventions strategy and execution.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop, execute, and measure HCP market development strategies and tactical mix aligned to brand strategy, positioning, targeting, and messaging to drive product adoption and utilization while meeting all regulations and standards.
  • Market Expansion: Shape and implement strategies to increase market penetration and adoption of Medtronic's neuromodulation technologies. Conduct comprehensive market analyses to identify opportunities, segmentation, challenges, and competitive landscape, and develop targeted strategies to overcome barriers to therapy penetration. Execute focused customer engagement strategies by customer segment and execute plans to increase therapy adoption and make Medtronic the partner of choice for our customers.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with physicians, clinical staff, and societies to foster advocacy and education around neuromodulation therapies. Strong partnership with key internal teams such as medical education, clinical, reimbursement, regulatory, product marketing, patient marketing, and sales organization.
  • Conventions: Lead convention strategy, ensure leadership alignment and execution plan to advance the market development strategy. Work closely with sales and therapy awareness teams to implement market development plans across field organization.
  • Clinical and Economic Evidence Strategy: Include formulating the strategy as well as executing on it. Including generating new claims for market development.
  • Reimbursement strategies: partner with health economics and reimbursement to find opportunities to increase patient access through increasing coding, coverage, payment.
  • Regulatory and Compliance: Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with regulatory and legal requirements. Work closely with regulatory and legal teams to manage approvals and maintain compliance throughout program execution.
  • HCP Content Plan: Lead HCP multi-channel communication strategy, content strategy and plan and governance. Manage agencies and budgets.
  • HCP Digital Marketing: identify needs and opportunities where digital marketing can take an influential role in HCP adoption. Develop strategy, budget, and execution plan on conducting direct-to-HCP campaigns, from media planning, asset creation, campaign execution.
  • Analytical and Adaptive Skills: Analyze data from multiple sources to formulate strategic and tactical plans. Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new information quickly and effectively, optimizing, and driving results in complex and dynamic environments.
  • Communication and Influence: Communicate effectively across a global matrix organization, ensuring clear and concise dissemination of information. Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, influencing cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives and meet timelines.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of HCP campaigns, and product adoption. Track, analyze, and report on program impact to key internal and external stakeholders, using insights to guide future strategies.
  • Travel - 40%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in market development, or similar experience with 5+ years of program or people managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of program or people managerial experience.

  • Medical device experience
  • Ability to influence cross functional team members without direct reporting.
  • Strong planning, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key customers, physicians, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Experience working with a broad sales force and interacting with hospital clinicians and executives.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Executive presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, global organization with a global perspective and mindset.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$157,600.00 - $236,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
