Branch Executive Director - Mid-County YMCA (Project Management)

Responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the Mid County YMCA in Brentwood, Missouri, including board development, membership growth and retention, marketing, programs, staff development, financial management, community relations, and strategic partnerships. Must inspire and engage staff, volunteers, and members in support of the Y's mission. Demonstrated success in financial management, sustaining the nonprofit model while driving growth. Provide dynamic, goal-driven leadership that ensures high-quality, consistent member experience and program management and development. Requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to lead through change. Must exemplify the Y's core values--caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility--in all actions and decisions.

The Mid County YMCA has a $5 million dollar operating budget, $90,000 Annual Fundraising Campaign, 175 employees (9 FTE and 19 FTNE staff) and features an impressive 6 lane lap pool with 13 ft diving well, up to date strength and cardio equipment, gymnasium, cycling studio, group exercise spaces, child watch, and a 9 classroom Early Childhood Education Center. This facility, located across the street from Memorial Park, is a multi-generational hub of activity and wellness spread across 75,000 sq ft facility.

Branch program and membership operations consist of comprehensive health and wellness programming, 1,900 membership units, 13 childcare sites, full-day ECEC with 114 capacity, 175+ day campers, youth sports, diverse aquatics programming and various other youth and adult classes and programs.

The Mid County community is made of the Brentwood, Maplewood, Richmond Heights, and Webster Groves areas. It is a diverse community in St. Louis County with ample shopping and restaurant options that provide a small town feel.

Coordinates the development of the branch board and committees. Directs the volunteer activities (policy and program) of the branch.
Directs the financial development activities of the branch.
Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops, maintains, and models collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
Oversees the hiring, training, development and supervision of staff.
Develops, manages, and monitors the branch operating budget and meet or exceeds budget targets.
Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branch.
Develops and directs high quality relationship-based member engagement strategies. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions with staff, volunteers, members, and the community.
Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals, and strategies.
Ensures the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment.
Directs branch marketing and communication efforts to effectively communicate benefit to the community.
Serves as a member of Y management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
