Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. is actively searching for an Operations Manager at the Pendleton, SC location. The successful candidate will build relationships with key customers and internal departments to help produce superior products following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. Successful candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience. Main Objective:

To oversee, manage and provide direction to the manufacturing department that will effectively and profitably meet or exceed the internal and /or external client's expectations by providing superior quality products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates production in accordance with policies, principles and procedures.
  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
  • Manages production workflow and detailed capacity analysis planning.
  • Reviews production costs and product quality.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates the operations of all manufacturing operations.
  • Develops manpower requirements and sets priorities for production schedules based on new product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply.
  • Assumes responsibility of the implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods.
  • Modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the manufacturing division.
  • Maintains and/or implements programs, policies, and procedures to support to AMI as a world class medical device manufacturer.
  • Ensures that production goals are consistently met.
  • Manages both multiple shifts of Manufacturing Supervisors; involved in planning/scheduling workflow.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of manufacturing work experience required.
  • 5 years of management experience required.
  • Must be well versed in all FDA, ISO, and OSHA compliance issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations required.
  • Knowledge of clean room packaging and sterilization operations preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Excellent organizational, leadership/decision making, and communication skills.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of all machines in Manufacturing area.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
