Lead Therapist $58,500/yr. (Finance)



The Lead Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to youth and families in need for the organization's Bays Community Care Program. The Lead Therapist provides services in-home, in-school, in-office, or in the community to assure we are meeting the youth and families where they are, in both the therapeutic aspect and their geographical location.

We are looking for a Lead Therapist who must have:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Counseling, or related discipline
  • Licensed in Social Work, Mental Health, Counseling, or related discipline preferred
  • Two (2) years' experience in children, adolescents and family counseling and familiarity with Child Welfare-Department of Children and Families, Juvenile Justice System, system navigation, Medicaid, or community resources.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and Auto Insurance.

Job duties and responsibilities include:

  • Maintains relationship and communication with community provider agencies and continuously updates community resources for clients.
  • Provides written reports (daily, weekly, monthly) upon completion.
  • Completes all required reports in a timely manner to assigned supervisor and/or designee.
  • Maintains documentation related to counseling activities within appropriate time frames per Agency and Medicaid requirements.
  • Enter data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other data systems in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and monitor billing for clinical services.
  • Provides on-going assessment, evaluation, treatment, discharge planning and other services as required.
  • Monitors the overall course of services for the client and family consistent with service plan and updates plan as needed.


Job Essentials:

  • Schedules and provides regular clinical services, leadership, and support to assigned clients.
  • Delivers evidence based therapeutic interventions and/or behavioral interventions to youth and families.
  • Attends regularly scheduled client meetings (individual/family/group counseling sessions).
  • Provides biopsychosocial assessments to each qualified client.
  • Provides treatment planning for each qualified client.
