Marketing Operations Specialist (Marketing)
Primary Responsibilities:
I. Marketing Content Operations
Manage content review and stakeholder automated approval process (AAP), including internal and external stakeholders, identifying and resolving issues to ensure content is approved within established deadlines and cycle-time benchmarks.
Maintaining AAP updates on the tech roadmap in partnership with the RPA team to integrate and enhance the system and create operational efficiencies.
Develop new marketing and operational/service communications to support business objectives.
Review of marketing assets (for various channels, such as online, email, etc.) to ensure that copy and offers comply with legal, regulatory, and branding guidelines and policies.
Follow policies and department's best practices to ensure communications pieces are accurate and have passed compliance policies. Communicate errors, rationale, required actions, approvals, exceptions, and status to key stakeholders.
Maintain project status and necessary documentation in the project database.
Helping to organize and manage projects within the marketing team (e.g., marketing calendar ownership).
Assisting in ownership of our quarterly fraud awareness education strategy and related execution of initiatives.
Execute projects within the marketing tools including BMAS (Internal content management system) and ESP (currently Braze), including creating and deploying emails.
Work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative to support other corporate projects and ensure workload and productivity is aligned with capacity expectations.
Maintain connections with evolving marketing trends, tools and benchmarks to optimize campaign performance.
Work as the key contact for marketing audits.
Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
II. Bank Marketing Operations
Oversee the management of customer lists on a weekly and monthly basis, including scheduling and coordinating customer birthday email campaigns within Constant Contact.
Conduct research and regularly track key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media and website analytics, ensuring alignment with First Carolina Bank's marketing goals.
Collaborate with external marketing vendors as necessary to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns.
Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Authority, Impact, Risk:
· Ensures that appropriate due diligence is exercised in content creation, approvals, and deployment so that UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, BSA, and other applicable marketing, compliance, and legal regulations are adhered to.
· Exercises good judgment that balances risk to shareholders and customer experience when making decisions.
· Builds an understanding of the marketing tools and other important systems including but not limited to AAP, BMAS, ADO, Braze, Oracle, and Constant Contact.
· Comply with all marketing, brand, and compliance requirements, policies, and procedures and attend all mandatory compliance and regulatory training, as well as owning the compliance and audit processes.
Key Relationships:
· All internal business line leaders across Marketing, Compliance, Audit, Customer Care, Product, Fraud, PMO, Technology, XD, Legal, Applied Analytics, Sales, and Client Ops.
· All external vendors related to marketing

Job Specifications:
Position adheres to confidentiality policy, code of ethics and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and best practices and other pertinent Regulatory laws and regulations.
Required:
· Experience in marketing communications, proofreading, and campaign execution.
· Experience with creative review for both marketing promotions and service messages.
· Proven ability for attention to detail, making decisions, and effectively meeting deliverable expectations and deadlines.
· Bachelor's in Business, (Marketing preferred) or 3-7 years of professional experience in lieu of college degree required.
· 3+ years in a regulated industry (e.g., banking, automotive, insurance, medical) with marketing or advertising background, campaign execution, compliance/QA content review and/or relationship management skills.
· Affinity toward structure and following rules tied to compliance and legal guidelines.
· Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests and changing priorities.
· Strong writing skills as it relates to communications (both service/operational- and marketing/advertising-related communications); NOTE: writing samples will be requested as a part of the interview process for this role.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, PDF Writer, and Excel required.
· Attention to detail and data checking/proofreading skills. Ability to deliver flawless quality work.
· Interpretation of information and decision-making skills to determine if guidelines apply.
· Strong communication skills and ability to articulate errors, rationale, and action that needs to be taken.
· Project management experience. Ability to deliver on promises/meet deadlines.
· Ability to work independently, and as a team member.
· Empowered to constantly find ways to optimize and automate to ensure operational processes are extremely efficient for all stakeholders involved.
· Passionate about finding opportunities to lengthen customer lifecycle.
Preferred:
· Basic marketing-related design skills a plus.

Understands and adheres to Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and Compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act policies and procedures applicable to position, completing any supporting requirements within defined timeframes. Acts within authorized limits and delegated authorities and role applicable policies and procedures. Follows processes and controls to protect shareholder interests. Mitigates risk to the bank and customers by following all applicable security procedures.
