Civil Construction Foreman (Finance)
Position Summary
The Civil Construction Foreman is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of civil site construction activities, from site preparation to project closeout. This role involves direct supervision of field crews, oversight of equipment operation, and coordination with clients, engineers, and vendors. Projects typically include excavation, grading, utility installation, rebar tying, concrete finishing, demolition, and framing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead field operations and supervise crews to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction work.Manage the full scope of project execution, from mobilization to closeout, while meeting schedule and budget targets.Operate and oversee use of heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, and extended forklifts.Coordinate daily work plans and schedules with crew members, subcontractors, and project managers.Ensure compliance with OSHA, NATE, and company safety standards on all job sites.Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, time and material logs, change orders, and site photos.Work directly with General Contractors, engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve issues and meet construction specifications.Manage material procurement and deliveries to align with project timelines.Mentor field technicians and help support the companys on-the-job training (OJT) program.Monitor and maintain productivity across multiple concurrent job sites.
Job Requirements
Minimum 35 years of civil construction experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory or foreman role.Strong understanding of site development processes, including excavation, grading, concrete work, and underground utility installation.Proficient in operating heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers, and telehandlers.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction specifications.Familiarity with OSHA standards, NATE regulations, and industry best practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.Experience using digital tools for reporting, scheduling, and documentation (preferred).Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record; position requires daily drivingAbility to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by job site contracts.OSHA 30
Travel Requirements
Extensive travel required (up to 95%), including local and out-of-area assignments.Ability to work on rotational schedules and respond to emergency or on-call duties.
