Regional Sales Manager

Orlando, Florida or Melbourne, Florida (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Thales is seeking a Regional Sales Manager. In this role, you will provide the key commercial liaison to select customer accounts, including Airlines and other customers and OEMs. Your objective is to effectively and accurately communicate Thales AGS system solutions, commercial and product attributes in an effort to generate sales. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leading customer satisfaction and revenue (Order Intake and Sales) objectives within an assigned group of accounts in order to maximize the performance of the account the Regional Sales Manager to meet or exceed customer and internal requirements. The Regional Sales Manager will coordinate Thales internal departmental activities with the objective of developing commercial and system solutions to meet and exceed Thales and customer expectations. The Regional Sales Manager will develop sales strategies and facilitate the issuance of commercial proposals and associated quotes to the customer. The scope of the job includes both strategic and tactical elements to be developed and executed as well as ensuring prompts payments and making certain the customers are in good standing financially.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Customer Satisfaction: The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for the overall satisfaction of portfolio customer through pro-active management of customer expectations, requirement and contractual obligations.

  • Commercial Responsibilities: The Regional Sales Manager is in charge of commercial matters for the assigned accounts.

  • Customer Relationship: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for development of strong and long-term business relationship with the assigned accounts.

  • Business Development/Growth: The Regional Sales Manager is expected to help in growing new business and services outside of the AGS traditional business lines.

  • Reporting and internal visibility: The Regional Sales Manager represents Thales' needs towards the customer and Customers' interest towards Thales, ensuring the level of satisfaction on both sides, by defining, managing, prioritizing and aligning customer and Thales expectations. Escalate issues up functionally and cross functionally.

  • Account Management, Regional Sales Manager: Conduct regular Management meetings and action reviews. Ensure necessary coordination and communication with functional managers in order to maintain momentum and visibility of customer requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience or Master's degree in field with 6+ years of relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years' experience in Aerospace.  Airline and/or Military experience

  • Should be able to demonstrate a strong Marketing, Sales and/or Customer Service background while specific experience in developing relationships at high levels and closing large transactions

  • Customer oriented Regional Sales Manager player.

  • Good understanding of company products and aerospace market

  • Proficient skill with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Power BI, and Salesforce

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC): 102,942.00 - 186,200.00 - 231,000.00 USD Annual

This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including – but not limited to – the employee's career path history, competencies, skills and performance, as well as the company's annual salary budget, the customer's program requirements, and the company's internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's status protected by local, state, or federal law.
