Lil's Sport Coach - Lacrosse (Creative Design)



The Lils Sport Coach - Lacrosse is responsible for delivering fun, friendly, and structured weekly youth development classes for children aged 18 months to 12 years. These classes focus on sport-specific activities and games that promote each child's development in a safe and creative learning environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, energetic, professional and enjoys working with children. Coaches must be effective communicators, team players, and organized individuals who can manage childrens behavior. Above all, they should foster a fun and engaging environment for learning and play. The Lil's Sport Coach reports directly to the Youth Programs Director.

The Lils Sport Coach will supervise and independently teach youth development classes with up to 15 students. They serve as the primary point of contact for students and parents, providing excellent customer service while welcoming new participants and orienting them to the program. Coaches are expected to greet all participants before and after each class, answering questions about the Lils program and maintaining a detailed knowledge of the facility and its other offerings. A pre-set curriculum is provided, but coaches are welcome to incorporate their own creative ideas that develop the same skills. A Lils Sport Coach should expect to receive continuous feedback and support from the Youth Programs Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and take down instructional equipment before and after each classSupervise children and ensure the playing/performance area is safe for all participantsWork irregular shifts including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as neededMaintain high performance standards as determined by the Youth Programs Director, through an intermittent evaluation processPerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Youth Programs Director.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: No formal or informal education is required. Experience working with groups of children is highly desirable to maintain organization and interest.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate course objectives and performance feedback to students and parents in English. Other language skills are desirable.

Computer Skills: Use of a windows-based workstation to access web-based instructional materials is required.

Coaching duties may be indoors in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment or outdoors in ambient temperature and humidity except in rain/thunderstorm weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
