Electronics Technician I (Finance)

Saalex Solutions is Seeking an Electronics Technician I. This position requires knowledge of radar tracking - Candidate will be responsible for the development of sensor system modes and advanced signal- and data-processing algorithms, from mathematical/analytical derivation through testing and verification using simulated and real sensor data.

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Operations and maintenance technician, working under direct supervision of a group lead or higher-level technician, who specializes in ground-based electronic systems.

1. Works on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, construction and

testing.

2. Operates and maintains electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers,

industrial measuring and controlling equipment, microwave amplifiers and transmission lines, high-voltage power supplies and keying circuits, indicators and displays, and antenna positioning systems.

3. Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data and test equipment.

4. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and effects repairs to restore equipment to required operating condition. Manipulates computer keyboards and views and interprets computer displays.

5. Troubleshoots to the component level and makes needed repairs. Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS

Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel or shingled roof. Climbing stairs, ladders,

towers, and scaffolds, indoors or outdoors, is required. Government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Ability to work in a field environment with some shift work, at remote locations with occasional overnight assignments. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance). Travel to remote working locations may be required.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Education and/or training in electronics from an accredited college, technical school, or equivalent military training is required. Basic knowledge of college math, DC and AC electronics, digital logic, solid-state devices, and circuits

is required. Basic understanding of general electronics and familiarity with electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems along with test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment is necessary. Successful

candidates will have basic troubleshooting and soldering skills.

-Basic Electronics Background Penn Foster or some other electronics course.

-Basic computer networking knowledge

-Top Secret Clearance

-Basic Fiber Experience

-A plus to have knowledge of the China Lake Ranges

-Working in Remote Location

-Basic understanding of video trouble shooting ie: HDMI, SDI, DVI, Display Ports ect.

-Basic knowledge of phone operation and connections (Installing and De-installing).

-Basic understanding of Compunetix radio operations

Active Top Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US citizenship, security investigation, etc.
