Maintenance Technician I (Finance)



Job Description:
Role

This position ensures that all company offices and facilities are kept in good repair and functioning properly by performing periodic inspections and upkeep/repairs to buildings, facilities, and equipment. Works with custodial staff, groundskeepers, and other service providers needed to ensure all facilities are maintained and functioning properly to enhance the appearance and productivity of the company. Performs minor repairs, not requiring work by a trades person, to building, facilities, and service equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, performs (general) maintenance and repair of company buildings/equipment or furnishings. Obtains work assignments from the Maintenance Tech ll, Maintenance Manager or Facilities Director.
  • Assists with other service providers needed for the buildings/facilities.
  • May assist in coordinating vehicle maintenance.
  • Disinfection of Home Office as needed.
  • Daily inspection and cleaning of parking garage.
  • Safety inspector for fire equipment.
  • Recycling to dumpsters.
  • Oversees and completes all projects assigned. Keeps management appraised of all critical issues.
  • May support contractor requirements while performing work in the building assigned.
  • Keeps an inventory of supplies and materials needed for maintenance/repairs/cleaning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Experience

Experience and a good working knowledge of heating and cooling equipment, electrical circuits, lighting equipment, plumbing and mechanical systems is preferred. Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs is considered an asset.

Education/Certifications/Licenses

A high school degree or equivalent. Technical school or Associates degree, preferred. A valid Class C driver's license.

Skills

Normal courtesy in dealing with others is required. Work involves minimal contacts, usually within the organization. Contact usually involving routine, non-sensitive issues within the department.
