Medical Services Navigator

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Will guide the person in service through the admission process.
- Complete all admission paperwork.
- Complete referrals to other programs
- Reminder calls for appointments.
- Schedule office visits
- Create collaborative relationships with staff across departments.
- Help coordinate care between providers.
- Assist providers with administrative tasks associated with person-in-service outcomes.
- Facilitate access to healthcare services (medical and behavioral) and community resources.
- Maintain all necessary paperwork directly related to the position and care of the person in services within the designated time frame.
- Possesses knowledge of healthcare systems, insurance plans, and patient resources

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in a social service- or healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Competent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and to adapt when faced with internal or external barriers, or when faced with differing points of view.
- Ability to anticipate next steps, be proactive, and collaborate with coworkers.
- Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills, able to effectively respond to difficult situations and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a current and valid Kansas driver's license.
