Activities Assistant (Personal Services)

Fall River Health Services is looking for an Activities Assistant to assist in the development, organization, and implementation of the services of the Activity Department to ensure appropriate programs and activities are provided to meet the needs and interests of the residents. This position reporst to Resident Care Manager.
Schedule: 40 hour work week, hours may vary, 8-hour shifts, rotation of weekends.
Responsibilities:
Assist with resident activities of daily living as needed to support the resident and caregiving team. Must meet training and requirements for CNA role.Assist Activity Lead in assessing residents and developing individual programs to encourage residents to maintain health, active lifestyles of their own choosing.Assist Activity Lead in developing enriching, well-balanced activities in which the individual needs and interests of the resident can be met. This includes the development of the monthly activities schedule, publication, and distribution of the same.Post the daily activity schedule in the residential living areas in a timely manner.Implement the activities schedule in an inviting mannerAssist residents in getting to scheduled events, and in returning to the residential areas after the activities are complete.Develop and lead small, medium and large group activities.Keep daily record of attendance of all scheduled activities, both groups and individual activities.Clean up and disinfect appropriately before and after all activities.Adhere to standard precautions (PPE usage, hand hygiene).Complete caregiver activity and CNA competencies through appropriate in-services, trainings, and other opportunities.Ensures resident privacy and dignity is maintained.May assist with feeding residents meals. Must meet training and requirements for CNA role.This position works with volunteers, assisting in the work direction of volunteers as needed.
The average Salary for this position is $15.00- $18.11 an hour, depending on years of experience.
