Designer, Oprah Daily (Creative Design)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute digital layouts and assets across a range of platforms
  • Create visual content including mood boards, infographics, and design elements for digital features
  • Support social media storytelling with compelling graphic design
  • Develop motion graphics, gifs, and video elements as needed
  • Design layouts for Apple News+ editions
  • Collaborate with editors and fellow designers to pitch and develop art concepts
  • Oversee design projects from concept through delivery, ensuring adherence to brand standards and deadlines

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 3+ years of professional design experience, ideally in a digital publishing environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), with working knowledge of Figma and Adobe After Effects
  • Experience with motion graphics and illustration is a plus
  • Strong sense of typography, layout, and visual storytelling for web and mobile
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

Compensation
The base salary for this role is between $67,000 and $77,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Union Statement
This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
