When you join our team as a Team Lead, you will:

  • Support and guide classroom teams in implementing KinderCare Education's developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Partner with the Director of Quality & Education to lead team meetings, share best practices, and align on instructional strategies
  • Provide mentorship and informal coaching to classroom teachers, helping them grow in their practice
  • Observe classroom environments and offer constructive feedback that supports continuous improvement and learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, progress monitoring, and classroom documentation
  • Partner with families by supporting clear communication and addressing parent questions or concerns
  • Help ensure compliance with accreditation, licensing, and KinderCare Education's quality standards
  • Step into classrooms when needed to support ratios, teacher absences, or daily operations

Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least two years of experience in early childhood education, with demonstrated leadership or peer mentorship experience
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, licensing regulations, and classroom best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to support adult learners and create a collaborative, respectful team environment
  • Must meet state-specific requirements for the role
  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • This role requires open availability to meet the dynamic needs of the center, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings as needed. Flexibility is essential to support leadership coverage, staff supervision, and operational demands.

Range of pay $20.70 - $24.90 Hourly
In the state of Minnesota, we currently provide an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked in addition to the range of pay listed. This premium is funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
