Sr Procurement Project Specialist (Finance)

As a Sr Procurement Project Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing procurement projects to support the organization's strategic objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection to contract management, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
You will report directly to the Director, Productivity Transformation and work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule. For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite Monday through Friday.
In this role, you will impact the company by driving efficient procurement processes, optimizing costs, and ensuring a reliable supply chain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage complex procurement projects from initiation to completion, including Planning, Execution, and Monitoring/Controlling, ensuring project goals are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with Digital Procurement to link Core functional processes with Tools; identify opportunities to drive process efficiency, reduce time to market, reduce cost and mitigate risk.
- Work with engineering & IT to support creation of digital thread, with Procurement mandatory deliverables and critical data elements embedded into the process & systems.
- Monitor and control procurement costs, seek cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
- Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies
- Leverage technology solutions to enhance procurement processes and reporting.

YOU MUST HAVE
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and project management
- Strong negotiation and project management skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Continuous learning and self-development
