Senior Advanced Certification Engineer (Finance)



Senior Advanced Certification Engineer

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Fort Washington, PA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact Honeywell by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining product quality, reducing time-to-market, mitigating risks, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in the certification process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the certification process for products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Develop and implement certification strategies and plans for new products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful certification of products.

• Participate in product lifecycle activities, including ECNs, and assessing the potential impact to certified products.

• Support external agency and regulatory audits

• Maintain a good working relationship with Certifying Bodies as a Subject Matter Expert in your field representing Honeywell.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 6+ years of experience in product certification.

• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

• Proven experience in leading certification processes.

• Experience with certification tools and methodologies specific to Distributed Control Systems.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance processes.

WE VALUE

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited University.

• 8+ years of experience in product certification.

• 5+ years of direct experience establishing/maintaining industry specific product certifications for a Global market (e.g. Oil & Gas, Refining, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Marine, Energy).

• Thorough Knowledge of product certifications specifically for Hazardous Locations and Ordinary Locations (e.g. 60079 Series, 61010-1).

• Direct hands-on experience building and testing products to meet specific industry standards (e.g. Dielectric, Ground bond, Thermal rise)

• Experience with UL 508A/CSA C22.2 No.286 Panel Shop programs

• SIL IEC 61508 experience.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under minimum supervision while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
