Manufacturing Engineer I (Finance)

We are currently seeking a well-qualified candidate for the position of Manufacturing Engineer - Level I, located in Endicott, NY. The Manufacturing Engineer - I will be responsible for supporting daily production operations, improving manufacturing processes, and maintaining documentation to ensure high quality and on time delivery of our products to our customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Production Support and Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on technical support to production lines for equipment, tooling, and manufacturing process-related issues. Monitor manufacturing processes for efficiency, repeatability, and quality, and propose improvements as needed. Process Documentation and Standardization: Create and maintain accurate work instructions, standard operating procedures, routers, and visual aids to ensure consistent manufacturing practices and compliance with quality standards. Tooling, Fixtures & Equipment Implementation: Assist in the design, procurement, and implementation of tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to improve ergonomics, safety, and efficiency. Quality & Compliance: Support quality investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Ensure process adherence with internal and external standards (i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) New Product Introduction and Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with design, quality, and operations teams to support new product introductions and manufacturing changes. Contribute to design-for-manufacturing reviews. QUALIFICATIONS BS Degree in Engineering or related discipline. Experience with modeling tools (CAD, Pro E, or Solidworks) and Microsoft Office products. Working knowledge and application of principles and techniques commonly employed in the design and manufacture interconnect products such as metal fabrication, die cast, stamped and formed, and plastic injection molded components. Working knowledge of how the designed solutions may be used and help in developing the qualification tests and reliability parameters. Ability to work in a team-oriented, production environment. SKILLS Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of relevant software and tools. Results-driven mindset. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple teams. Solid presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multi-task. Possess strong diplomacy and problem solving skills. Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy under pressure and with frequent interruptions. Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience with CAD modeling tools (SolidWorks preferred). PHYSICAL DEMANDS (with or without reasonable accommodations): Prolonged sitting or standing. Visual acuity. Must be able to distinguish imperfections in material or product. Must be able to distinguish full range of colors. Potential to lift or transport light to heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Ability to adapt to change.
