Mechanical Engineer (Engineering)

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our San Antonio office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of civil and mechanical projects within the federal sector. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in mechanical systems design, analysis, and implementation, while also demonstrating the versatility to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines. This position requires compliance with local, federal, and Department of Defense (DoD) standards, and it provides opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and mentorship.

This hybrid position is based in San Antonio, Texas with an expectation of working in the office two days per week. Travel is anticipated approximately 10 percent of the time.

Main Responsibilities:
Perform project design, analysis, and engineering calculations across a range of mechanical and civil engineering disciplines.
Prepare technical reports, field documentation, internal correspondence, and formal submissions under project manager guidance.
Review design documentation, identify errors, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and provide upgrade recommendations.
Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and vendor proposals.
Assist with developing scopes of work, obtaining bids, and supporting subcontract administration.
Support project managers in preparing budgets, multi-discipline cost estimates (RS Means preferred), and project schedules.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Ensure adherence to company and site-specific safety standards.
