Wire Technician (Telecommunications)



Join our Manufacturing team -- production, assembly, operation of equipment, and more -- and help us deliver an unmatched selection of products made with quality materials and workmanship. The Metal Fabrication team is responsible for executing a variety of intricate metal fabrication tasks, contributing to the processing and breakdown of precious metals used in the creation of finished and die-struck products.

The Wire Technician performs a variety of tasks to support the breakdown and fabrication of precious metal materials used in die-struck and finished products. This role requires hands-on equipment operation, adherence to precise tolerances, and attention to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate basic and advanced metal fabrication equipment
Transfer and stage materials according to process routing
Set up and operate wire drawing equipment and rolling mills
Conduct mathematical calculations to determine material requirements and process yields
Maintain accurate material segregation and accountability
Adhere to precise gauge tolerances and quality standards
Keep work area clean and follow all safety protocols


Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to use and understand measuring tools
Strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in metal fabrication or materials processing
Proficiency in mathematical calculations related to production yields
Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail


Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift
Requires physical strength and stamina for material handling and lifting ranging from 25 pounds to 75 pounds
