Lead Manufacturing Operator (Finance)

TransCore - Amtech Systems, LLC (AMS), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Lead Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Summary: Performs all functions necessary to assist the area Supervisor in the daily operations of the manufacturing department. Takes a proactive approach in ensuring that production schedules are met in a timely and safe manner. Orders materials, to build the product, as needed and oversees the area to ensure scrap is held to a minimal.

This position is for our N10 shift - 3:00pm - 1:30am - Sunday through Wednesday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Utilizes all available resources to meet the production schedule and productivity goals.
• Schedules equipment usage and provides daily job assignments to subordinates.
• Ensures the individuals performing these assignments are properly trained and are performing these tasks as defined by the policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Monitors the area to ensure that individuals are meeting productivity goals and adhering to the safety rules.
• Provides direct and daily feedback to the responsible Supervisor regarding any personnel, equipment, safety, or productivity problems.
• Provides data as required to track the team progress towards achievement of company objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Typically requires a minimum 6-8 years related experience.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing.
• Basic MS Office Software and data entry skills.
• Good communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking,.
• Excellent communication skills including coaching/mentoring coworkers.

Education / Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and minimal risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
